To Our Valued Clients and Those Looking for Answers,
COVID-19 has impacted the lives of many in Florida. As the situation continues to evolve, the Law Offices of David I. As a firm, we are carefully monitoring and adhering to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Florida Health Department, other government agency guidance, and staying abreast of any changes or updates.
Our partners and staff have been advised on the practical measures to help stem the tide of COVID-19, including regular hand washing, the use of hand sanitizer, frequently disinfecting commonly touched areas, and social distancing whenever possible. This involves using video and phone conferences and communicating via phone and e-mail to limit in-person interaction.
Our attorneys and staff are working hard to address your needs and questions.
We are open and shall remain open; however no in-person office visits are currently possible.
The firm shall remain fully operational during the course of this public health event. If the City of Fort Lauderdale issues a “shelter in place” order we shall continue to remain available to address our clients day to day needs via a remote office. This will involve using Skype and Facetime in addition to normal phone calls and email.
Client cases shall continue as they are now with constant day to day attention
We know how serious your case is and will work to ensure these unprecedented events do not unfairly impact your legal issue.
In person court hearings have by order of the Florida Supreme Court have been cancelled for the time being. Hearings are being conducted by telephone and cases that are in litigation shall continue to move forward subject to discretion of the courts and state officials.
If the situation continues to progress, we will explore all available options to provide you with the best possible representation. This may include using video depositions, testimony, and e-document submission, and other tools and technologies should the need arise.
We are closely monitoring all client deadlines, court closures, and will continue to keep you updated.
Broward Courts are currently closed to the public for at least two weeks. If you have a mediation, deposition, or other case appearance scheduled, you should check with your attorney right away to determine alternative meeting procedures.
